About the artist:

Alissa Renee is a North Carolina artist, trained as an art educator with 9 years of teaching. Alissa values being a life long learner and is always experimenting with new techniques and materials. You can follow some of her more recent educational adventures on her blog page.

How AlissaRenee Designs Came About:

Shortly after learning about basic metal crafting, Alissa decided her one goal for jewelry making was to create her own engagement and wedding band. It wasn't that she knew exactly what she wanted, or even that she didn't like the traditional wedding band. No, instead she wanted something that no one else had, something unique to her and her partner. So, she started her journey into metal crafts and techniques with that one goal in mind: to find the perfect ring.

It's a good thing it took her husband 7 years to ask her to marry him. She needed every moment to find the perfect combination of techniques to suit her and her hubby's style. To this day she gets joy out of seeing the ring she crafted on his finger and the matching ring on hers.

After finding so much enjoyment crafting for her own important piece, she chose to bring that same handcrafted and individualized approach to her jewelry business.
